The mission of the Unified Professional Military Veterans Organization is to create solutions for those disenfranchised military veterans and their families by providing practical opportunities to highly motivated military veterans who have served their country and its citizens in their time of need. We particularly focus on supporting those dealing with depression, suicide prevention efforts, coping with incarceration or past incarceration, and homelessness. Our strong dedication is to provide practical opportunities to empower determined military veterans who have shown exceptional commitment to serving our nation and its people during crucial times.

We gain insight and wisdom from the Old Testament while believing that Jesus the Messiah (Yeshua HaMashiach) lived, died, and rose in fulfilling the prophecies of the Old Testament and providing salvation for all through the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) and Word of God taught in the New Testament (Brit HaChadasha.)

Helping Our Disenfranchised Veterans That Suffer From PTSD
PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, is a serious mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic or life-threatening event such as combat, natural disasters, serious accidents, incarceration, or violent personal assaults. PTSD can cause profound distress and significantly interfere with daily life, making routine activities like shopping, attending large gatherings, certain holidays, or even being touched by a family member or loved one trigger a PTSD event. Common symptoms include flashbacks, nightmares, emotional detachment, avoidance of trauma reminders, and constant hypervigilance, all of which can make it difficult to relax or maintain personal relationships.
If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts, seek help immediately by calling the 988 crisis line and pressing 1 for veteran-specific support, texting 838255, or chatting online with the Veterans Crisis Line. These services are free, confidential, and staffed by trained professionals who understand the unique challenges faced by veterans. Despite the isolation and hopelessness PTSD can cause, there is hope. The VA offers evidence-based therapeutic treatments such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, along with support groups and medication management. With the right treatment and support, it is possible to regain control and move towards healing and recovery.
